COM volume knob has no tension

Yes, normal. I was told you can slip a small oring over the shaft / below the knob and induce some friction. I just haven't tried it yet

    AoA Calibration

Does it indeed only save data from one stall? I've calibrated mine a few times now with no changes.

An update on Dynon Certified projects

OgieOglethorpe, I've been following it. Its ridiculous, and it just shows how broken the system is. After reading the article calling out the faa, I lost any hope of anything productive from the FAA. It's a good example of why years later, were still waiting, and only one company can somehow get...

Dynon Certified December 2021 Program Update

Exactly ! I just did this research last week, 5 different companies , 5 FSDO's, and one company hasn't missed a beat. My local Garmin guy told me a few days ago garmin is really frustrated with new approvals taking up to 3 months now, and he was serious. Our government is so broken.

Dynon Certified December 2021 Program Update

That last statement !! 2, mainly one, but 2 companies seem to get things done, and 2 others just can't win. Meanwhile I've watched 6 (experimental) planes roll out of neighboring hangars, with autopilots installed from multiple companies, and work flawless. It's frustrating things have to be so...

    Multi engine certification

I completely believe the FAA has become corrupt and only catering to one company. I’d hate to own or run a company that relied on the approval from our modern government. The rules and standards are not even across the board.

Dynon Receives FAA Certification for Bonanza 36 Series Autopilot (and some new products too!)

Woohoo ! HOPEFULLY, This is the beginning of progress towards realistic timeframes regarding the FAA.

Rpm jumping about and reading very high on take off

The HDX is showing spikes up to 3500 rpm in flight after some 20 minutes or so. After flight I was going to turn off one of the rpm inputs in an effort to determine which side was causing the spiking, and that when i realized one mag is failing. Never had a mag check issue, but I never thought...

Rpm jumping about and reading very high on take off

My Mooney just started doing this (rpm spiking occasionally) in the last 5 flights after 20 minutes or so. I started playing with setting the other evening after returning to determine which side could have been causing it, and found my engine almost dies on my right mag. I suspect this is...

An update on Dynon Certified projects

I had to look, I didn't see any model Mooney on the AML for the 3100. I also do not believe HDX will output any attitude info.

An update on Dynon Certified projects

..This is exactly my feelings. I am ready to invest into this if it something that can be done. I'm in for anything we can do as a type specific groups to go about this whole thing differently. I'm a nuts, bolts, and wires guy. I don't see what is so complicated about installing and proving...

An update on Dynon Certified projects

And to add to the frustration of nearly impossible certifications these days.. I just read an article that the FAA sponsored an "inclusive language summit" last week regarding emasculating language in aviation. This is where the FAA priorities are right now, political correctness. Until we get...

An update on Dynon Certified projects

Even BK thought they had a slam dunk approval of the Aerocruz for the Mooney, it too has made it to someones desk to age, and go no where fast. Our government approval process is broken, unless your Garmin. I'd pay Garmin autopilot prices at this point for Dynon's autopilot system.
