Version 11.1 upgrade fail on second screen

John My method is to power off 1 x screen & do the other with all other Dynon products powered up then do the same for #2 followed by a Network Configuration (with ALL the systems turned on), you can leave the backup battery disconnected for this too if you want. Pm me if you want & I'll call...

    Navigation Page on Skyview

As ETA is available on the map page I don't see a need for it elsewhere as I'd suggest you wouldn't have the flight plan page up in flight normally - maybe others will see it differently   :) Jake J

    Skyview boot time

Dave, I'd be deleting files you have on that thumb drive & reloading those you need. Your situation is not normal &, like Steve, I've never seen that either. Jake J

    Another SV screen issue

Hugh Finally, good to hear after our discussion on phone that you have determined where the issue appears to be. So to make a point - maybe the subject topic & tone could have been a bit more gentle :) Jake J

    Another SV screen issue

Hugh You have probably tried this & it's a simple check to eliminate one item - try the other screens battery with this unit, that will determine whether it's a bad battery ;) BTW - circuit breakers can cause 'issues' that a DMM won't find, just ask David Brown. Jake J

RV 9A Dynon Pitch servo install

It really doesn't matter which way you need to do it, just make sure you don't have a possible over centre situation at any stage of travel & you're good to go ;) Jake J

    Radio interfence

DS As a data point - I have just flown 25 hrs with my dual SV's in our Glasair with no issues when transmitting from either radio. Finally, after installing so many Dynon systems on customers aircraft, I get to experience the joy of using Dynon glass ;D ;D8-) The glasairs have Com 1 antenna...

SkyView Battery Charging before first flight.

rfinch There is no need for your kind of comment here, by all means disagree if you must but abuse of a fellow forumite is not a good look. I get frustrated too with people sometimes especially those who don't read install manuals before asking questions however abuse is not the way to go. ...

Frequency pass through from Aera or GPSMap

Vern, Just wondering - did you try my suggestion of powering up the Dynons first ? Result of that ? Jake J

SkyView Battery Charging before first flight.

Two words come to mind here no matter the experience level, RTFM & AVIATE especially for first flight - the good thing to come out of this is this discussion will get some in a thinking mood. ;) First flight - be very careful. Jake J

Frequency pass through from Aera or GPSMap

Vern I've found some issues sometimes with pass-throughs with SV transponder ( hex code was changing randomly) & VPX too but not Aera 500, solution appears to be letting the SV's power up completely & then powering up the avionics. HTH Jake J

    AUtopilot Disconnects

Is it possible you have an NC (normally closed) as opposed to an NO one ? Just thinking ...... I had that happen once, someone 'borrowed' a ptt switch & accidentally replaced it with an NC version ::) Jake J
