As ETA is available on the map page I don't see a need for it elsewhere as I'd suggest you wouldn't have the flight plan page up in flight normally - maybe others will see it differently   :) Jake J

Dave, I'd be deleting files you have on that thumb drive & reloading those you need. Your situation is not normal &, like Steve, I've never seen that either. Jake J

Hugh You have probably tried this & it's a simple check to eliminate one item - try the other screens battery with this unit, that will determine whether it's a bad battery ;) BTW - circuit breakers can cause 'issues' that a DMM won't find, just ask David Brown. Jake J

It really doesn't matter which way you need to do it, just make sure you don't have a possible over centre situation at any stage of travel & you're good to go ;) Jake J

Two words come to mind here no matter the experience level, RTFM & AVIATE especially for first flight - the good thing to come out of this is this discussion will get some in a thinking mood. ;) First flight - be very careful. Jake J

Vern I've found some issues sometimes with pass-throughs with SV transponder ( hex code was changing randomly) & VPX too but not Aera 500, solution appears to be letting the SV's power up completely & then powering up the avionics. HTH Jake J

Is it possible you have an NC (normally closed) as opposed to an NO one ? Just thinking ...... I had that happen once, someone 'borrowed' a ptt switch & accidentally replaced it with an NC version ::) Jake J
