Dirk, this is a long shot - why don't you run a new 4 core wire temporarily through the plane from the EDC to D10 ans see if this works ? Seems like a wiring issue to me too ;) Jake J

FYI - I have had 2 separate instances of an EGTreading that was way too high (even with engine off). Fault was traced to a pin not fully inserted in the 25 pin Dsub on the prefabricated EGT/CHT loom. Hope this is of help to someone. Jake J

I had a similar problem with 1 of 2 D100's - using a regulated bench power supply and slowly increasing the voltage it would 'start' at 12.4 volts, not before. Dynon suggested installing 5.0. Jake J

Mark Try a different value resistor from the standard 30 K Ohm - around 100 K Ohm should do it. Try different values up to 120K. Jake J

I had exactly the same problem - fixed it by running a wire from the sender mount block directly to the ground bus. Hope this helps. ps - we checked the system with a calibrated temp gauge first to confirn the difference. Jake J

A quick glance at the Honeywell page makes me think it doesn't have a NMEA or aviation format output, so it may not be able to interface with any external devices. But this is more a question for Honeywell. Ask them if it can output standard serial NMEA or Aviation data. If it does, it will...

From my experience the RV' float senders don't 'read' the last (top) few gallons, it's the bottom few that really count. Maybe this is your situation ? :) Jake J

The owner just pressed the button to turn it on - has about 90 hrs on it since installed. We could wait and see if it happens again ? Jake J

Just had a D120 shut itself off a while after engine start, engine battery and charging system was ok.  Turned unit back on and all now ok - Is there anything I can check if this problem presents again ? Jake J

Hi Paul This is a wild guess but may apply - does the fluctuation occur with changes in RPM ?  If so, temporarily disconnect the MAP line and check again. I once saw similar issues with an Encoder connected to the Manifold Pressure line (Helo) had 3 Avionics shops baffled. :o cheers,  Jake
