Not surprising. Hand flying in mountain wave is a common technique pretty much regardless of what autopilot is being used. An autopilot generally flies better than we do, but we are still smarter.

I may have solved it with an assist fro Dynon support. The GPS needed updating ("GPS FIX STATUS").

In a dual HDX panel, I quickly discovered I like the default map track up in split screen with the PDF on panel 1 and a Sectional chart north up in panel 2. the Manager? Yeah it looks old and ugly but I haven't had any problem with it.

I asked a similar question a few weeks ago with no answer. I figured there would at least be a good way to put "my" default settings on a USB stick and load them in. That's probably the answer but you need to work with the settings script to cover only those few items.
