    SKYVIEW RELEASE 7.0

To clarify - by charts you mean IFR approach charts, correct?

    ADAHRS attaching hardware

And once you've tested it with a magnet - if it stuck to it, it's not only not ideal, but it's REALLY undesirable now...   ;D

Ed - I like this idea quite a bit - what pressure sensor are you using?

    Dynon Comm Radio

Poor timing for your comm radio problem, with Garmin rolling out their newest just in time for OSH. You're going to lose some orders over that.

    Tracon Freqs on Map

I'm interested in the ARTCC freq's, "Nearest" will handle most of the queries I have but finding them via moving map for another location would also be quite helpful. 80% of my lookups are for app/dep and center freqs for my current location to activate flight following after takeoff from a...

    Tracon Freqs on Map

Third here - I use this function frequently in the certified world.

    Minimum power configuration

The transponder takes it's power separately from ships power, not the Skyview battery - so #2 will leave you with a functioning screen but no transponder.

Any estimate on the comm radio?

    Oil temperature transducer install

"Special Method" in the aviation world pretty much means to torque it correctly and/or safety-wire it, instead of using the "Armstrong" method preferred by most shade-tree mechanics on automobiles. If you've been turning wrenches long enough in your life to develop a calibrated arm, you can...

    Dynon Comm Radio

Thanks for being up front about the problems, and I certainly appreciate you fixing the problem up front rather than shipping them first and dealing with it later.

AUto Trim Function with SKyview Autopilot

Can't say I blame you. It's not impossible to do, you can bet there are many individuals that have followed that train of thought (and action) at least as far as you have. I'm all for that in the spirit of experimentation, but to sell it commercially brings a layer of liability upon the...

    EGT Question

Swap the thermocouples on a couple cylinders, and see if the problem follows the swap - if it does then the problem is with the thermocouple - if it does not then you have a legitimate cylinder problem. That could be a leaking exhaust valve or one spark plug not firing, either will cause a rise...

    SV-NET-SPL - Help me

That's not a bad plan, but likely not necessary - notice that the last "new gadget" Dynon released (which is the Comm radio) carries two D9 ports that act as a passthru - so a spare port is not really required. The "next gadget" will almost certainly be an add-on with passthru ports.

Contact your local EAA (Experimental Aircraft Association) chapter and join up with them - you'll almost certainly find several folks there who can show you the way.

AUto Trim Function with SKyview Autopilot

It's certainly do-able, but not easy. You'll want a deadband of servo torque centered on null where no trim inputs are made (just let the servo handle it), and then your active bands on either side would need to move the servo (maybe even 2 or 3 different speeds, using PWM, depending on how far...

    Servo Power Switch - Requirement

I put in a circuit breaker for the servo power (no VPX in my plane), but that was simply to protect from an overcurrent scenario.

What else is required to be IFR legal

Skyview will follow the vertical navigation data supplied by a certified unit - it does not create that data itself.
