Just FYI and I don't know about anyone else but a number of us Cub guys have experienced numerous failures of these crimp connectors even though they have been tied and supported. When they do fail I replace them with these, https://iflyei.com/product/olc-2/, and have not had a repeat failure...
even after you did the following?
1. Push buttons 7+8 to access the SETUP MENU.
2. Navigate to the CONFIGURE… Page (SETUP MENU > SYSTEM SETUP > SKYVIEW NETWORK SETUP > CONFIGURE…).
3. Press DETECT. A successful network configuration yields the screen in Figure 34 (depending on the units...
I asked a Boeing flight engineer buddy about your issue and he said that if at anytime that N number was previously issued to a Russian style aircraft, it is most liked an FAA issue. He says the FAA has not correctly re-identified or removed the Russian designation from some internal record for...
Don't feel bad, I, and I bet a number of others, didn't know about that xpdr update for awhile after installing the system:oops:. Its not something that was updated monthly so out of site, out of mind.:)
I have to agree with Galin, I have no idea where you get that Dynon is becoming a bunch of junk. I also don't get this big obsession with getting all upset when an update gets delayed. We didn't need updates before we had Dynon panels and we could still fly our planes and for some...
I haven't had any problems with glare on my Dynon screens, their screen technology is nothing like an Ipad or computer screen which are horrible for glare.
Ned is correct, your capacitor should be on the outgoing alternator charge circuit to clean the DC current and the shunt is installed someplace after that. I had a UL350 with a dynon system in my previous Highlander.
If you haven't already you need to check all your grounds to make sure they are clean. Then test your RG400 coax connectors at your radio and transponder to the antennas to make sure you have ground and signal continuity thru the connectors to make sure you don't have any signal bleed thru to...
Galin, when you say "Don't tape OVER the entire static port hole, just as close behind, or in front of the holes depending on your error, as possible." Could you explain what side should be taped for what error?
David, you've provided a lot of good info and I have a question also. In a tube and fabric airplane like a cub, how important is it to have the static vents to the outside of the aircraft or can they exit into the fuse or wing?
Dr M.
I’m going to do the same thing with a 182P. I was wondering where you got your blank instrument panel or did someone build those for you? I’d like to find just the blanks for the 182P, but not sure we’re to look.
