Specs for Mac/Linux program to update firmware?

Re: Specs for Mac/Linux program to update firmware I guess the other angle would be that if, in future, a module like the HS34 would be available with a couple of knobs, IO ports and an SD card slot (minus anything else).... It could be used for datalogging and firmware updates. Of course...

    Dynon - Garmin - TruTrak    ?

Re: Dynon - Garmin - TruTrak ? I would imagine the trio is the same (wiring wise) as the TruTrak. I have my GPS296 sending out one serial wire that splits into 3 to: - Dynon EMS-D120 (and on to the EFIS-D10A) - SL40 COM - TruTrak Digitrak ...and it works great. I popped a 496 in place of...

    New expansion module

I would even like to be able to use an EMS GP input wired to my own 'value' knob, since I don't need the others, but a knob would be nice. Maybe that's something to consider?

    D10A + SL30  CDI not showing

For anyone elses benefit, it worked. The SL30 resolver (indicator head) should be set to "NOTHING" for this to work. Thanks again Thomas. GPS Issues ------------- Now I have another issue in that particular airplane.... the GPS (Apollo GX65) I have the D10A hooked up to will display some GPS...

    D10A + SL30  CDI not showing

Thanks Thomas, I'll check that out. Maybe I need to set the indicator head to NOTHING from SERIAL....I'll try it tomorrow. Cheers, ..lance

    D10A + SL30  CDI not showing

I have a D10A (current software) connected to a newly installed SL30. Did a flight test today, and the HSI page shows communication with the SL30, the Identifier shows up (e.g. RDD) and the frequencies, to/from numbers. The yellow (course indicator?) shows up OK, but the green CDI does not...

    New expansion module

I think it would be nice to be able to take input from a general input on the EMS and pass it over DSAB to all the Dynon screen dimmers. surely that should be pretty simple (at some point) in software now that you have a light sensor in the new module controlling brightness over DSAB?

    New expansion module

Will DSAB now be on both the EFIS & EMS now with this coming update, so that we don't need the RS232 link between them?

    Sun'N'Fun 2007

So....I'm stuck in Alaska on business, and since (amazingly!) no one else has asked, what would the rest of us see if we dropped by the booth now that Sun N Fun has started? Any official news from the Dynon booth? ;) Cheers, ..lance

    Internal Data Logging

Tom, I was looking at the spec (about to buy one also), and I think you are right that the EMS is outputting too much, too fast for the buffer limitations on this device. It would certainly be nice even it could miss every other data frame or something. ..lance

    EMS Display Brightness

Just following up on the 'Is the dim/bright slaved with DSAB'....seems like it would be good if that were the case, AND you could specify one of the EMS inputs that aren't being used for something else as the brightness. That would then allow external control of the EMS dimmer AND onto the EFIS...

    New Firmware Release Questions

Roger, Yes, I too have that. My 296 Com1 port is 9600+Aviation and is split 3 ways: EMS-D120/SL40/Trutrak Digitrak and it works great. I specifically wanted to try this in case I upgrade to a 396/496 which only has one Com port (vs 2 on the 296). Cheers, ..lance http://lancegingell.com/plane.asp

D100 attitude change as airspeed increases

The EFIS's use AHRS data AND pitot to calculate pitch/roll/etc. ...so you can't just apply 'one sense' by applying pitot pressure and see real results.... ..lance

    D10A Interal Compass Calibration

Hi, 1. "-30 deg turn" - aha - this answers that question. I never saw that, so it never finished with the right turn. Thanks for the other info. I'll zip the files up and send them in. Thanks much, ..lance

    D10A Interal Compass Calibration

Hi, I've just been attempting internal compass calibration on a D10A. I've downloaded the latest firmware to it, setup the airspeeds, inclination etc. with no problems. I'm using the internal calibration tool 1.1.3 that is current on the website. At first, everything on the ground part...
