I don't think anyone is discussing using the Dynon COM without SkyView. Just using two COMs in a plane with a SkyView. SkyView can talk to two COM units at once so the TWR, ATIS, GND, ATC buttons work on both.

The install manual claims to be SL-30 compatible, so that's what you'd use on the SkyView serial port. We haven't tried one though.

You need to do a zero airspeed calibration. Page 9-5 of the install manual.

Also, on the D180, are you reading the voltage on the EMS or on the PFD? These come in on different pins. The one the system actually runs off of is on the PFD as part of the "M,E,I" list of voltages.

There are two thermocouple inputs on the D37 connector as well. So an accidental connection here could cause an issue with all thermocouples. This is why checking with the D37 disconnected would be helpful.

Yes, it does mean that you will lose the custom Rotax RPM ranges on the oil temp. SkyView doesn't currently support Rotax limits with dual RPM inputs if both are not for Rotax engines.

You haven't answered the most important question: Did you load the .DFG from the other referenced thread? There is a file in there "dual_ff_sep_RPM.dfg" which will configure SkyView to show two RPM inputs. Once loaded, I don't see any other issues with your configuration, it should work fine...
