    Compass Calibration

Have you run the in-flight cal where you do turns in flight? This generally leads to a much better calibration. The calibration on the ground is not a simple adjustment on various headings, so it would be hard to observe the effects on a specific heading. If it's correct on one heading but way...

SV1000T - stayed on when batt master off

There is no bug here. Everything is operating 100% as expected. Our logic for shutdown is simple. Airspeed not zero? Don't shutdown without user interaction. SkyView's airspeed doesn't come alive until 20 knots, and then stays alive down to 15. Thus, you need to read 20 knots at some point to...

    Compass Calibration

The only difference between the pages is if you have "entered" the calibration routine. The first page is with mag cal, and then when you enter the cal routine it zeros it out so it's without. We're just warning you in that menu that you're totally uncalibrated. In what case do you want to see...

    Dual remote compass

Remote compasses and ADAHRS can be stacked. If they interfered with one another, they would interfere with themselves! We actually sell a kit to stack ADAHRS units now.

    Some Requests

There are multiple ways to enter vertical speed modes, such as just turning on the autopilot and having it do a vertical speed capture. In this case, I can't imagine you'd want it to fail to engage because the altitude bug was on the wrong side. So some of this is a consistency issue, with not...

    Fuel Level Anomoly

Nigel, Since Savvy just shows gallons, we need to know the voltage direction to guess at what is going on. I can't tell if that's a grounding wire or an opening wire.

Skyview processing of abnormal ADS-B input

It does appear that the airport reported the baro wrong, as you can see the incorrect values in the METAR history: https://www.wunderground.com/history/airport/KDMW/2017/4/9/DailyHistory.html?req_city=Westminster&req_state=MD&req_statename=&reqdb.zip=21158&reqdb.magic=55&reqdb.wmo=99999

    Fuel Level Anomoly

Nigel, If empty or full is high or low resistance matters which way the float is installed. The cool thing is you can figure this out from looking at your SkyView calibration. Go into HARDWARE CALIBRATION then EMS CAL then FUEL LEVEL CAL. In here, you can see what voltage equals what fuel...

    HDX Install question

ARINC-429 signals can be split up to 6 times. So in our experience, there's no issue here. Just split the wires to both the TruTrak and the Dynon ARINC-429 box. They can both listen to the data coming out without issue. There might not be enough pins to do this, so the shop needs to split the...

Lightspeed Plasma III Digital Timing Display

Craig, If you are trying to deal with low voltages like 0.01V per degree, use a thermocouple input. These have amplifiers on the inputs that will give you tons of resolution on low voltages, no external box needed. We didn't realize this was an issue to the point someone had made a $100 box to...

    Gear Down Indication

Sounds like you have the hardware configured correctly, so all you need is software setup. Page 7-70 covers this pretty directly. Go to pin 11 in SENSOR INPUT MAPPING and make it a contact with the name GEAR. Go into Sensor Setup and find GEAR Make one state 0-2.5V, call it UP Make the other...

Rotax 912iS fault screen in 15.1.0

The manuals will be out shortly with more detail. This gives plain English descriptions of the various faults the 912iS ECU can report. These are shown in a diagnostic page in setup so you can debug the problem while on the ground. Simple descriptions like "Lane A MAP FAULT" are provided making...

SkyView 15.1 adds Yaw Damper, VP-X on HDX, more

The fix for the ASI trend did not make it into this release.

    Thermocouple Wires

Yes, the are polarized. Hook them up backwards and the displayed temp will decrease when the real temp increases. They are also not normal wire. You must run thermocouple wire all the way from the probe to the EMS module.

    Garmin 296 output to FlightDek180

Check this post from the past: http://dynonavionics.com/cgi-bin/yabb2/YaBB.pl?num=1166483607/1#1 It should be set to 9600 baud, and "NORMAL" not "FAST" in advanced settings. You sure your only issue is that the HSI isn't set to GPS? You won't have a HSI option if you don't have the GPS...

Feedback and crackling in intercom on power up

Given you say the noise shows up the most when the screen dims, this is almost for sure to be an insufficient ground on the SkyView screen. Dimming in SkyView is actually the screen pulsing on/off very quickly, and this changes the current on the ground wire. If the ground isn't good enough...

    Vers 15 QWERTY

This is fixed in version 15.1 that we released last week. I just tried it on a system that had this bug before and loading the software resolved it.

New Dual Band ADS-B for SkyView / AF-5000 Systems

Diversity (top/bottom antenna) is only used on huge aircraft where the concern is the aircraft itself can block the signal. There's really no advantage to this on small aircraft. Adding diversity costs a more than double, so it's not a trivial thing to do. We put the ADS-B antenna on the bottom...

New Dual Band ADS-B for SkyView / AF-5000 Systems

We recommend a 978MHz antenna for the Dual Band device. Transmit power is only 25-40W on 978MHz but 150-300W on 1090MHz, so 1090 is much easier to pick up. If you use the "wrong" antenna then you'll have slightly less range for FIS-B weather information. It may not even be noticeable though...

    Output logic from SV Classic?

It has a proprietary algorithm using both GPS data and air data. It doesn't use any one input.
