    D120 Log File

Yeah, I have come to the same conclusion. It is fairly unlikely I am reading the GPS (it is a Garmin 296), but I will try some other baud rates and see what I get. What are the chances that the Dynon is NOT operating at 115K baud? Thanks Simon ~~~~~

    D120 Log File

My D120 has worked well in my UK homebuilt SportCruiser for over a year. I wanted to do some data logging of the engine parameters in advance of making a small change, and then log the engine parameters again for an 'after' view. Using a Win 7 laptop with an RS232 USB adaptor and Hyperterminal...

    RPM Accuracy

Yeah, thought you might say that - I had come to the same conclusion. We might just take the UMA Tacho out, we rarely look at it anyway. Thanks for the rapid reply. Simon C ~~~~~~

    RPM Accuracy

Hi Our SportCruiser homebuilt has a D120, it works just great! We also have a 2 1/4 inch Rotax-specific UMA analog tacho. They are both wired in parallel off the 5th coil, and work okay. But there is about 200RPM difference between the RPM readings on the D120 and the analog tacho (the UMA...

Manifold Pressure and Fuel Pressure problem

Hi again I have solved the problem, my builder buddy had cross wired the manifold pressure sensor to the fuel pressure sensor and vice versa. I worked it out by fitting a potentiometer to the manifold pressure sensor wiring, and noticing the fuel pressure was changing. The reason for the...

Manifold Pressure and Fuel Pressure problem

Hi I ran the Rotax 912ULS engine in my SportCruiser QBK for the first time yesterday. My D120 works great, with standard sensors as provided and a Dynon loom. But the manifold pressure and fuel pressure readings are are stuck at one value - Fuel 2.06 bar, MAP 2.5 inch Before I go back out to...

    EMS-D120 Warning lamp output

Good idea, I'll wire a switch - although I may have to compromise on the inputs as I had them all allocated for other jobs. Thanks Simon ~~~~~

    EMS-D120 Warning lamp output

Hi I am wiring an orange incandescant lamp into my panel so the D120 can warn me of engine conditions outside set limits. Does the D120 briefly drive this lamp on power-up to prove that the lamp is operating properly, or do I need to arrange for a 'push-to-test' instead? Thanks Simon ~~~~~
