    roll servo-divergent oscillation

followed jakes suggestion to disconnected the disconnect wire. related are not did obtain off/off indication and flew with similar results. 30 minutes good lock. then as attempted hdg mode heading generally south course started to diverge turn to left noticed heading ribbon holding steady a/p...

    roll servo-divergent oscillation

gps problem apparently resolved; blue wire carries nessary data not the violet wire as shown in provided documentation. test flight last week, successfully held numerous trk settings for approx 30 minutes then efis showed err/err and red DSAB flag appeared. Could not enter AP page "efis not...

    A/P-Garmin 296 interface

flew for 30 minutes today with a/p held trk with no oscillation even in some light turbulence then in smooth air err/err appeared and no amount of reset efforts would bring back system. Error message was EFIS not buss master. during the return to the airport intermittent indication of either...

    A/P-Garmin 296 interface

Blue wire provides track data, no indication of Nav/GPS when route is active. Normal, buttonology, or abnormal? In flight test, track mode exhibits divergent oscillation similar to heading mode. Left to the point short of panic the lower left status would go err/err and could not be reset...

    A/P-Garmin 296 interface

I guess I missed the reference to the blue wire. The documentation included a sheet from Garmin showing the violet wire data to NMEA and A/P devices and the blue wire going to Sounder. Magenta message came up on HSI. Will fly in the day or two when we have still air. Thanks Jake :)

    A/P-Garmin 296 interface

the connection is to pin 3, typo not assembly error. i have made no changes to D10a settings, but have tried options on the 296. Still no joy on seeing the button on the HSI page.

    A/P-Garmin 296 interface

struggling to get any indication on D10A that data is available. HDG only option in menu. Tried 296 @ 4800 baud and 9600 baud, NMEA protocol. violet wire is to pin 5 on D9 connector to pin 22 on D25 connector. suggested button sequence to troubleshoot? John Kerr

    roll servo-divergent oscillation

in test flights this weekend 2 areas of improvement were noted. E/W HDG's appeared to be more stable than N/S. Setting bank angle limit to 25 degrees while not eliminating the searching did reduce the oscillation. an area of concern is that in dutch roll holding heading on target graphic...

    roll servo-divergent oscillation

John here, there has been no indication of slipping of either servo. Have not tried East/West HDG yet. Still puzzling over inability to get TRK and NAV. Troubleshooting 296 com 1, com 2 settings.

    roll servo-divergent oscillation

The newly upgraded D10A is installed in a RV9. As answered in the previous post have been unable to sort out the solution to TRK and NAV, HDG is the only option showing in AP menus or HSI. Something I'm not getting and a different problem making troubleshooting the divergence more troublesome...

    roll servo-divergent oscillation

Recalibrated EDC twice, with sensitivity setting at 10 heading varied 20 degrees left AND right. after stabilized hand flying and reengaging A/P the heading control degenerated again to the 20 degree swings. With sensitivity setting at 25 heading about 10 degrees left and right. It might be...
