    Air speed D10a

Thanks for the feedback -  I will have a closer look at the options for calibration, thanks to Kevin for his links and suggestions. The Vans ASI and the EFIS are plumbed in series into the same pitot and static sources. At 120 Kts they read within 1-2Kts and even at 170Kts the disparity is small...

    Display Brightness

The firmware upgrade sorted this for me - initally the problem only showed until the unit had warmed up. Now with the new firmware the display is far brighter right from power on. Rgds, Nic

    Air speed D10a

I am flying an RV8 with the D10a and EMS. On approach I have a disparity between my standard Vans ASI and my EFIS. Typically if the Standard ASI is reading 70kts my D10a is reading 70mph ie. approx 10mph low. They are both plumbed into the same pneumatic line - and appear to read correct values...

I will get the parts sorted and installed next week and let you know how it goes. It may be a reasonable idea for Dynon to include...

    MAP Fluctuations

I have uploaded the new Firmware for the EMS and this has helped to reduce some of the fluctuations from the MAP sensor. I have also installed a conventional gauge and this reads rock steady. Any ideas please on how to steady the readings on the EMS further, which can still vary wildly by...

    EMS Display Brightness

Thanks for the technical help from Mike at Dynon - I have now loaded the latest version of firmware to my EMS and the result is increased brightness right from power on. Rgds, Nic

    EMS Leaning Technique

Mel, An excellent series of articles - I have read all of them today and am gaining a better understanding. There are a number of techniques to investigate, including leaning in the climb, descent on finals at lower rpm (prop in coarse) and also dropping rpm but not power after take-off.  All...
