What exactly is involved in updating Dynon products to new firmware? I have been told that I will need to remove the unit to make an update including disconnecting pitot/static lines. If true, this could be a real pain. Is there a way to put a serial port in the panel and just connect to that...

Thanks very much. That's good to know about the redundancy, but I had already planned to go to a few old fashioned steam gages for backup of the PFD and EFIS. I'd do that even if I had the D180, D100 setup. Just too much of an old timer I guess. Thanks again. Looks like I will soon be adding...
