my CHT harness has white and red wires. the probes have white and black wires. do i connect white to white and red to black? thanks.

the 37pin EMS harness supplied has 4 wires listed as ground, #'s 3,5,16,17- do i need to connect #3 and use the others only for sensors requiring a ground? i understand the the D180's primary ground is provided via the 25pin EFIS, do i need to connect any of the ground wires from the 37pin EMS...

I plan to use 26AWG fusable links as described in the D180 installation guide to fuse the connections between the shunt and the D180. I cannot find an aviation supplier who lists 26AWG wire. Does anyone know where I can get it or can I simply use 26AWG wire from a hobby store? Thanks, Doug McLean.
