As krw pointed out, the point is that Dynon has goofed not once but twice: aside from the -472 debacle, the decision to lock customers in using proprietary stuff only means that Dynon customers get nothing.  The stratux approach wasn't my first choice, I would have preferred a Dynon solution...

The FAA itself says ADS-B is advisory in nature, and there is no guarantee that it will show you all traffic and avert a mid-air collision. If it says something is there, something is there.   But relying on the reverse of that being true, when it most certainly is not, is suspect.

That's because it's been broken since at least v14 and maybe earlier. Dynon has either chosen to not fix it or is not capable of doing so.

Is the airspeed trend indicator bug, identified in v14.1 and mentioned in http://dynonavionics.com/cgi-bin/yabb2/YaBB.pl?num=1468424043, fixed by 15.1?

Interesting! Mine does it whenever the system has been off for some time - if the unit has already warmed up and was off for only a short time (i.e. fuel stop) the problem doesn't happen. GPS availability doesn't seem to have an impact one way or the other.

Mine does this as well. Even after doing the zero airspeed calibration in a still-air hangar with the pitot cover on. It started with the v15 update; it was fine before v14 for me.

How about an NPN transistor such as the 2N3904? As long as the load is under 200ma or so it'll work fine.

Any updates on when we might see a fix for this bug? It was broken in v14, still broken in v15. Or perhaps it's something that should just be removed from the pilot's guide since it doesn't really exist?
