The new system looks GReaT! But is there a name or model number for this Next Generation EFIS Technology? NGET just doesn't seem to fit, IMHO.
Now to the real question. Will the NGET use the same sensors as today's EMS? That will have a significant impact on the effort required to upgrade...
OK, my example was too narrow! ::) But accordingly, the freezing range endpoints should be user adjustable, similar to the restricted RPM range on the tach.
...its just a suggestion... thanks for considering it!

My unit was in the affected group, so I removed the diode per the bulletin. It wasn't difficult with a fine tip soldering iron.
It would be nice if the service bulletin were published in PDF format so I could print it out and place it in my installation notebook to show what was done.

This is partly a bug report and partly a suggestion for a new feature.
I updated my EFIS-D100 and EMS-D120 to 4.0. It's great to have ALL functions available on both screens!
First, the bug report. My OAT is connected to the EMS-D120 GP Input 3. I see that I can change units to Fahrenheit...
I've got an EFIS-D100 and an EMS-D120 and the HS34 is "coming soon". Each one has it's own hardwired PC cable for firmware updates. Is there any chance that we'll ever be able to use just one PC cable to update any or all units? DSAB?

Is it possible to get a builder head start kit for the HS-34? I've already got my D-100 and D-120 but haven't built my panel yet. I'll definitely be starting on it before August and it would be great to have the mounting bracket and connector pinout now.
I just received an EFIS-D100 and EMS-D120. Powered them up and they look great on the bench, but took them outside and I can barely read them in full sunlight, either direct or indirect. Anyone have any actual flying experience with the 7" displays under a bubble canopy, i.e. RV-7? I've flown...
