An update: I threw a 100K resistor in line and I ran it through the throttle range without incident. I assume there is some ringing or something going on, but whatever you are quite right, that makes it work!

Guys, This might seem a silly question (and it is), but is the any sort of marker, sticker or numbering on D180s with superbright screens?  I am trying to confirm if my D180 is indeed super bright or not.  If not, I would probably send it in to be upgraded... Thanks, YtC
