Fuel Computer Calibration with FT-60 Transducer

That is not enough burn to adjust the k-factor. i would not adjust until you burn close to a full tank. Then to fine tune, add up a couple fill ups to get a new total fuel burn, actual and SV values. kurt

    Dynon and Avidyne IFD

Foreflight is totally broken with the IFD and Skyview on same network. The Foreflight update that pushed just before Thanksgiving broke it. At least on my installation, Skyview w/ ADSB, IFD 540, and Foreflight all on Skyview WiFi. It will no longer gets position (GPS) from either IFD or...

Foreflight not updating METARS , Lightning or NOTAMs

Tried that several times. Notice I am receiving ADSB data. But the GPS is not being decoded. i tried connecting with FltPlan Go. It connects and works good. It is just another software issue with Foreflight. They keep pushing new features but fail to test if it affects the old features...

Foreflight not updating METARS , Lightning or NOTAMs

Foreflight updated just before Thanksgiving. I can no longer get Foreflight to use the Skyview GPS or my IFD gps. No position data available. I normally have it use the IFD gps but now it won’t see either. No longer get the message if I want to load flight plan to the IFD. So, Foreflight is...

    Classic Skyview Wifi-connection issue

My Avionics shop had another customer with a new Skyview system that the WiFi adapter would not be recognized by the HDX display. After trying another WiFi with same results tried moving it to the other port. The other port worked. The first port works good with the usb mem stick. How do you...

    IFD annunciation on HDC?

I do not know any way to just turn that feature on Skyview. However, if the IFD has a discrete annunciation output you could wire it to Skyview to provide an visual and audio announcemen.

Foreflight not updating METARS , Lightning or NOTAMs

I have seen this problem with both a Skyview system and a Garmin System. In both systems the status says it is updating but unable to display it when selecting an airport. You have to be over 1~2 hours in flight or more than 200 Miles from your departure point. You can also see this problem by...

    Classic Skyview Wifi-connection issue

From what you describe it sounds like your WiFi adapter plugged into Skyview is failing. At least that would be my first guess as it is cheapest to try. If you have another Skyview owner at your airport you could borrow to see if it fixes you problem. Kurt

Skyview HDX WiFi Dongle and ForeFlight

Foreflight has no forum. They have no user available bug report. They do not air their dirty laundry. I had a FAA guy tell me I should file a NASA ASR report. This will get more attention by Boeing Foreflight as they are part of the review board process. Boeing Foreflight appears to be more...

Foreflight not updating METARS , Lightning or NOTAMs

Not in my case. The easiest way to show this is by not connecting to the internet prior to a flight. Just go to your airplane and immediately connect your tablet to the Skyview network. Once you are receiving ADSB data try to look up a local airports METARs. They all will say Not Available...

Add Aithre devices to sensor files, please

It is very easy to add a sensor calibration. In fact, I have a custom sensor file that I reload after every SV software update. It is simple. Takes about 10 seconds longer. kurt

Foreflight not updating METARS , Lightning or NOTAMs

No the problem has not been fixed. I am using the Skyview SV 472 receiver. My neighbor has an all Garmin system and has the same problem. It is definitely a Foreflight issue. I tried two different generation tablets and even flew with neighbor and confirmed problem is present when Garmin is...

    High RPM withour engine running

If the PMag / prop is positioned right at 0 deg it is possible that one or both IGN’s are toggling because it is positioned so close to the decision to send out the tach pulse. So, as Michael said above just move the prop a couple degrees and it will stop. i have seen this a couple time...

Loss of Glideslope indication on my HDX on a RNAV 17 approach

I have gotten the same message before but never lost glide slope indications. I just used the higher minimums. This was about 6 months ago. i suspect this it due to RAIM level is not good enough to support the glide slope. the approach I was on was RNAV 13 into KTYR in Texas. It has a LPV...

Dynon/Advanced AirVenture Oshkosh 2024 - New Experimental Products and Features

Regarding to OLED com radio display. My experience with OLED in aircraft have been poor life spans. I have had 2 devices with OLED in my Glasair. Both have had to have the displays changed in about 5 years, or less. One display I had it converted back to mono LCD after the second replacement...

Skyview HDX WiFi Dongle and ForeFlight

I can tell my experiences as I was an original classic Skyview that recently upgraded to the HDX. My experience was the classic was more robust regarding WiFi connectivity. I rarely, had a WiFi disconnect with a IFD 540 and an IPAD with Foreflight connected. I only had numerous WiFi...

Is there a maximum number of wifi connected devices?

if you have two iPads connected you will occasionally see a loss of WiFi on one or both iPads. It auto recovers. This has improved but still happens on occasion. I routinely have my IFD 540 and a single iPad running Foreflight with no problems. Once a second iPad is connected it will loose...

    Dynon and Avidyne IFD

Yes you can send a flight plan to Skyview. But recent updates to Foreflight will default to the IFD, if installed and on same network. I am sure you can force it to Skyview by settings. I only use the IFD for flight plans so only sent to Skyview by accident. kurt
