I have noticed the true aispeed on the new DG display.  I'm wondering since I do not have OAT, what is the algorithm that is being used.  It's actually pretty close.

The Garmin 430 is not WAAS enabled and no-body knows for sure if they ever will be just ask the people who put down 1500 on the upgrade 2 years ago that was promised two years ago, did you mean the Garmin 480? Purely a selfish question on my part, the more 480s the better the support for D10A.

Re the 480. The serial data is Aviation, no NMEA, and yes the Nav GS/Loc is intermixed with the GPS data. However the data is very well organized and identifiable. I could write the code and I havent written code for a long time. They don't let me anymore -:). Anyway, I'd love to see this...

Installed the new firmware yesterday went perfectly.  Questions though, I have Garmin GNS480 and wish to do two things.  1 - connect the GPS functions to the D10A and secondly connect the integrated Nav Radio such that I can get the HSI with GS.  This should be doable as the Nav/com in the 480...
