Dynon has a list of vendors on their site. As a vendor myself although I have not done it yet, I see no reason a vendor in good status couldn't help do the trade up program.

From what I know there are 2 things at play. Certified screens require them to be made the exact same as they were certified. (same chips). So screens going to those airplanes have to be exact. As a stop gap Dynon has worked to possibly find an alternate chip as an alternative. These...

One of our local hangar bums has done just this with a dynon panel, and a hud using a rasberry pi as a controller from the serial data. I believe he even made his efforts public.

Mine did the same thing, finally got new file to plane today to update.

I did install the AP panel and love the fact it does autotrim, as well as contains the needed relays. I did not install the knob panel, but left room and can't wait to get one and install it. Will be much nicer than using the screen knob for sure. I vote to install both, you won't regret it.
