D-180 does not power up until pressing button 1

I have just found a solution to my D100 problem, although it is probably not completely correct: if I keep aircraft power off the unit and press Button 1 it starts immediately. Then I switch it on to a/c power. It still does not like starting by just having power applied to it, but I don't mind...

D-180 does not power up until pressing button 1

OAT usually between 10 and 20°C. I seldom fly with temp below 5° and we have not had a day above 25° this summer. I don't think the problem is temp related.

D-180 does not power up until pressing button 1

I have something a bit similar. My D100 sometimes takes 15 to 20 minutes after power up to start itself. It cycles between the Dynon logo and blank screen at about three second intervals. Occasionally it will start up in about five minutes but usually it takes longer. I have disconnected the...

    SkyView 4.0 Now Available!

Just to clarify my last, I had installed only the 4.0 update FILE not the European PACKAGE. I now see that I need the new W Europe basemap to get the full picture. Thanks.

    SkyView 4.0 Now Available!

Thanks Dynon - that explains it. I just downloaded the 4.0 package, not the Western Europe package. I will now load the European basemap.

    SkyView 4.0 Now Available!

Just installed 4.0 and my map display is exactly as before. No towns, rivers, roads etc. I am in Ireland. I have got European Hi Res basemap previously installed. Do I need to re-install it? My Av Data is from Pocket FMS.

    User Waypoints

Can someone tell me how to import a collection of user waypoints into Skyview using a Mac without doing each one individually? .CSV files seem to be PC only territory. Thanks.

    Purchasing a SV

Hello Wilbar, I had exactly the same setup as you and wanted to upgrade to Skyview. I moved my D100 from left to right where D120 used to be, and put SV1000 on the left. I now have PFD redundancy, similar EMS info as before and the advantage of Skyview mapping, which is much better for us...

    what's next

Showing, as it does, whether you are above or below 1'000ft is a long way from displaying your height AGL. To use French example again many areas have their tops at 2'800ft AGL. It would be great if you could read that directly.

    what's next

Delighted with details of Feb update, it will make the system much more flexible and will be much appreciated. But please keep Height AGL on your list for the following update. What is more basic to know that your height above the ground beneath you? Many Restricted and Danger areas in France...

    Pocket FMS

Hi Trevor, See the response from Dynon Support yesterday at 9.56 which says: If you mean Basemap data (roads, rivers, cities), then that data never comes from your aviation data provider. As I said in my last, geographical data is not provided by Pocket FMS in this package - the bit you took...

    Pocket FMS

Thanks for that. As far as Basemap data is concerned there may be some confusion because the PocketFMS website refers to mapping of rivers, towns, lakes and other topographical details but this probably relates to their standard flight planning system and not to the aviation-only package that...

    Pocket FMS

Hi Richard, I am disappointed to hear this. I have just purchased but not yet installed. I have just been lookIng at the PocketFMS website. It says that they respond quickly to reports of errors. You can contact an area manager direct and they claim they will react quickly. Give it a try and...

    Pocket FMS

Thank you Dynon for offering the Pocket FMS option; it sounds like it will solve most of the problems for European GA users. Question: if I install PocketFMS where will my terrain and obstacle data come from?

    what's next

Until beno mentioned it I thought you had forgotten Altitude AGL. Please keep that on the list along with Geographical data for Europe and User Waypoint entry. Thanks.

    cross wind error

I suggest that it might be ASI Position Error. If your Indicated Airspeed is not an accurate RAS there will be a wind error because the system will think that the difference between groundspeed and airspeed is due to wind. I have that situation in my aircraft. See if you can check your indicated...
