5.3 Download error

I bought a new notebook with Windows 7 so I could update to 5.3. I get error code 0x8002801c :unable to register the type library-TypeLib failed. I removed Firefox and stopzilla, paused Avast on advice from tech support. Still the same. Any ideas?

Are you getting that as you try to download it, or as the support program installer is trying to install things?

When the install wizard is doing it's thing. Soon after it puts the shortcut icon on the desktop.

Haven't heard of this issue before, and we do have general confirmed compatibility with win7. If you hit "ignore" on that dialog, does the support program work?

I ran the installer set for compatibility with Windows XP Service Pack 3, and it ran without giving me the error. I haven't tried installing the update on the EFIS/EMS yet.
