7.1 usb bug

I went to the airport today to do some work on my airplane which included this update.

Found the USBs don’t automatically read chart data at boot and my sticks need the old out-in exercise to work 100% of the time after a system boot.

@djones I'm almost done getting this radio in, it required a lot more work than I thought.

Aaahhhh - interesting - I'm running the beta version of that software, and thought I had a couple of bad USB sticks, that sheds some light on the problem.

May or may not be related.

(ACM, dual HDX Skyview panel) Upgraded to 17.1. No issues on the first post install flight.

Second flight issue:
  • The panel was powered up
  • The flight plan was entered before engine start
  • Engine start resulted in XPNDR and Audio panel circuit faults
  • I reset the circuits in the ACM and proceeded
  • There were no issues on the return flight
  • Engine was shutdown and I powered off the master. Rather than waiting 20 seconds I pressed the power off button on the MFD and it immediately powered off.
  • I then pressed the power off button on the PFD. The screen went dark as if it was powered off and then displayed a message indicating that a system event occurred (no number given) and was generating the file
  • The PFD USB stick is now unreadable
Bug report submitted to Dynon.

Thoughts?

Update: After multiple attempts I finally got to read the PFD USB stick. Must of been a contact issue. Performed a chkdsk, no errors found
