Appreciate if you would indicate if that is something DYNON agrees can and will be addressed. And if so, when it might be expected. ::)

I agree, even if some information has to be omitted. I find myself looking at the pilots 10" screen rather than the co-pilot's 7".

Not sure why dynon is silent on this. When they view it not in the cards they say so. When in the future they say so. They seem to want to avoid discussion on this?

IMO - That's not being fair - Dynon HAVE made comment, don't see a reason why they should have to keep replying to EVERY post on this subject, it's takes up valuable time that could be better spent elsewhere.

Do a 'search'.

I know how to search---and am familiar with everything they have said on the subject---because there is not much.

I have noticed that that Dynon will quickly answer a question on features for the millionth time if they got it covered.

So what does it mean when they respond to the "text" issues only once? I admit, their response on this issue was a very positive response that I liked very much.

For the 7 inch users----they will not fix it until enough people chime in.

Geeze---it was easier to get the vert power stuff in prior to text improvements (and there were a lot fewer posts on the subject).

Some of my earlier posts suggested giving the ability to scale sections of text in the setup process----that way, font effects would not look cartoony on the big display.

When I display the 100% view of the attitude indicator---you got lots of very open space----and little bitty text that you can barely read.

The Blue Mountain map display (I had the small one the size of the original dynon) did a fantastic job displaying everything. You could not put everything on the display at the same time or it would be too cluttered---especially on a small display. But besides range, they had a declutter knob that let you scroll thru the various declutters---which also involved turning the terrain/background off. One of those features would turn on the victor routes---Displaying victor routes: VERY VERY nice!

Don't get me wrong---I am a Dynon lover. I owned and installed their original unit in my first airplane. I then bought their engine monitor for my Cozy and replaced my Bluemountain EFIS with their small Skyview----and yes---I do have buyer's remorse---I should have gotten the larger display. All my complaints center around the text---nothing else.

I do know many pilots, who ordered Dynon D100 EFIS (instead of Skyview) mainly because of bigger fonts. I am sure ALL 7" users would vote for bigger fonts.

There is still enough (I think) free space available on the screen, so enlarging fonts would not be so difficult. That would possibly make screen layout different between 10" and 7" units.

Dynon did already fix HSI (which is a very good step in that direction), so probably they are silently already working on that issue.

I understand your pain - I believe Dynon will do something about the text as it's in their best interest to do so.  They have had a lot of feedback from various sources including me.  As an installer the best advice, at this stage, I can give to customers who want a 7" Skyview is to buy the 10" SV (if panel space & finances allow) due to the font issue.

There are a lot of people who have eyesight 'issues', myself included, who NEED to look at a display that is readable.

I am quite comfortable working with a dual 7"screen enviroment
infact in my case it was my preferred option
Font size and clarity has to be addressed and Im sure it is happening
3.1 has offered suttle improvements to font clarity
As already stated there is still plenty of room on the screen to move on this one and we hope the sooner the better :D

A little bit of background on how we treat future-looking discussion on feature additions, improvements, and the like:

We try to use this forum to learn from, to help out, and and to generally interact with our customers and prospective customers. We try not to overpromise features that we haven't decided, and often the feedback loop takes a little while to work through our planning. When we're in the middle of figuring out the level of attention that a feature or request will receive, we tend to be a bit quiet about them.

I actually thought we had commented on this somewhere, but my own searches are coming up empty too.

So - sorry for seeming non-responsive. But, know that we ARE working on what we can do with font sizes to improve legibility, with improving the 7" experience in particular. We expect this will happen in our next release, but features do occasionally get shuffled about, and so that's not a promise (but it's likely).
