After installing Dynons EMS-221 wiring harness the only engine instrument that doesn’t have an X across the face is the fuel pressure and battery volts. Each instrument also has CFG? shown.
This is a new 912is and 2 Dynon HDX displays.
I would appreciate any thoughts of what I did wrong.

The widgets that are being displayed are looking at the the physical EMS pins associated with them and those pins are correctly NOT configured. C37_PXX represents the pin number. You will need to remove all of the widgets that are looking at physical EMS pins and install the CAN counterparts for each. In the screen layout editor, press sensor, scroll all the way to the bottom of the list and you will find all of the C37_XX entries, those all need to be removed. Then, select the CAN entries and install widgets. They will be listed like OIL PRESSURE (CAN) etc.

Thanks for the quick reply. I’ll try it and let you know.
This is a first build for me, so the new HDX & VPX have been
quite a learning process.

Not all colour bands can be adjusted on the Rotax CAN EMS for the iS engines, so don't panic if you're not able to do so when you get to that stage.

You are seeing the fuel pressure and voltage because they are not passed over the CAN bus. All your other settings will need to be configured as advised above. It works well :)

I have entered the CAN entries and they still have an X on the face of the instrument. The EMS pin numbers are no longer shown. ?

I can't add anything more than it is probably a setup or wiring issue.
Have you started your engine?
If you have started the engine, does that change anything on the screen?
If you can't start the engine yet, does energizing the computers (just prior to engaging the starter- when the lane lights extinguish) change anything on the screen?

I’m starting to suspect the wiring. I’ve went so far as turning the engine over for a few seconds with the fuel off but that’s all. I appreciate the suggestions.

I would suggest first making sure the Engine computers are on, and the lane lights are extinguished. If the screens still show red XXX's then you can continue checking the wiring.
