A few questions about Connecting DSAB Wires

I have a D180, an HS34, and a D10A.  Currently, the D10A is not connected to the DSAB and I'd like to add it to gain the benefits of shared screens.  I have three questions.  Will I be able to view EMS data from the D180 on the D10A and how would you recommend I splice the D10A into the DSAB?  Its my understanding that both EFIS's and the HS34 each have only one set of DSAB connection points, so splicing is my only option.  Whats the best way to make the splice?  Use a Pigtail?  Maybe its not that critical??? My third question is: Do both the D180 and D10A need to use the same power source?  Currently, If I recall, I have one EFIS unit on the Avionics buss and the other unit is hooked elsewhere and doesn't boot up at the same time as the other.  I suspect this might cause a problem using the DSAB??

1. Yes

2. Splice - match wire colours ie blue to blue etc

3. They can however I prefer separate power circuits for redundancy

They don't need to be on the same power bus, but if you boot one before the other you'll get a warning that one is offline until you turn it on or acknowledge the error.

Thanks Guys.... so it sounds like there is no magic, preferred way to splice the DSAB wires. I appreciate the quick response!
