A/P not part of initial launch?

Hello, I read this on the SV preview page:

"A subsequent product launch (date unknown) will include our moving map navigation software option, autopilot, and ARINC 429 converter module."

Does that mean the A/P functionality will not be part of Skyview at product launch? If so, when will this be added?

Thanks
Andre

That is correct, the AP will not be in the product when it first ships in December. We'll have a full schedule for future releases in January, so I can't tell you now when the AP will be available.

Will that be a free software upgrade as in the earlier models, or will that require an additional module?

Any chance that this will be in by April or May 2010? I'm wondering if I should decide for Skyview or stick with the D100's for a while until more of the functionality is in place... I already bought and installed the servo's so kind of a pity to just have 'em sit there doing nothing and not knowing when I will be able to use them. Any advice would be appreciated :)

We have yet to publish dates, but it is basically the first think we'll be working on after the Dec release, and we're aiming for releases every 4-6 months, so it should be in that ballpark. We'll have a roadmap published soon though, with approximate release dates for various features. Sorry we don't have it pinned down better than that, and thanks for your patience.
