Accuracy Of Terrain Data

Not that I plan to rely on it, but what are the altitude tolerances - accuracy of the sky view terrain database? Are we talking +-500 ft? Where does the data come from? ESpecially Australia.

It's compiled from various sources, and for a variety of reasons, including competitive, we keep the details proprietary. We also don't publish an accuracy specification because those different sources have different levels of accuracy and other attributes. It's designed to work well for the mission, which is primarily to prevent you from inadvertently flying into terrain.
