Got a "ACM Fault" message today on my Dynon Skyview HDX, Anyone know what it means?

It means that the Advanced Control Module - or ACM - is reporting an issue to SkyView. Get in touch without support team at the contact info in our signature.

Hey Joe, I just installed my ACM with a Skyview HDX system and I am also receiving an ACM Fault Warning only while airborne. What was the remedy for your problem?

For background, I called Advanced Flight Systems and they said it may be due to the system mapping and where the system thought the Amp Shunt was located. I changed it from battery to alternator and it still had the same ACM fault message once I got airborne.

It is looking for the primary alternator field to be turned on and it is not. Is the alternator field not powered by a breaker in the ACM?

That was exactly the problem! Advanced flight system sent me over the file to turn it on and that fixed the problem. Thank you
