I really like my SVmap270 in my Skyview. I am IFR rated, but my only navigation system is my Skyview touch. It gives me all of the simplicity and functionality I need for most of my flights. Occasionally, it would be nice to have a GPS approach plate available for a destination so that I could use the IAF, and FAF as waypoints for a simple VFR approach. I can do that with my SVmap, but I have to build it into a flight plan and still use the SVmap. It's comforting to hear the little girl tell me that I am approaching a way point. I would hope that with SA's approach plates loaded on a stick, this would be much easier, but I don't want to loose the SVmap that I am so accustomed to, and keep current on the 28 day cycle. It would be nice to hear from folks who have subscriptions to the SA IFR suite, in hope of getting a idea of what to expect in making the change. Thanks for your help and I look forward to your comments.
