I am adding an AV30E w/ AV-link WiFi as a backup attitude indicator. How is best to connect to existing Skyview classic (w/ WiFi dongle) and GNS430W (soon to be replaced by GTN650)? Does AV30 need OAT? Connect to GPS? GPS data from Dynon or Garmin?

The AV-30 should be able to get nav data from the Garmin or Dynon via NMEA serial. The AV-Link appears to only be used to import ADS-B traffic for display on the AV-30, and does not include nav information. The AV-30 install manual calls for a dedicated OAT probe compatible with the Davtron C307PS, but it's only necessary when using the AV-30 as a DG. This is only what I can guess based on reading the manuals. Hopefully someone else more familiar with the AV-30 can confirm.

Using the OAT probe with the AV-30 as an AH, gives you OAT, TAS and DH. Well worth the couple of hundred bucks for the probe.
