You are correct. I purchased a Dynon in May for a Rans-20 we're building. It was a little scary buying a good bit of electronics ahead of having the airplane flying, "knowing" that advances will be made in avionics before we fly. But, Dynon gave me comfort that we wouldn't be left out on upgrades. Thanks Dynon,

Much thanks to Dynon for providing that explanation. I'll be the first to state that I was wrong about being able to connect *any* GPS navigator which meets the spec to the Dynon XPDR and thus be compliant. Fortunately, I have a 430W :) .

What sort of documentation will Dynon provide after verifying operation with the GPS sources? My expectation is simply a table/statement in the installation manual on "approved" (verified) GPS boxes.

That said, apologies for being wrong on that matter.

As for putting any of this into a TC'd plane, I think Galin is still correct there, but since Dynon makes and sells *experimental* avionics, that's a whole different kettle of fish than installing these in an E-AB.
