Background info
Vans RV-12 with 10" Skyview.
-Received Dynon ADSB module and harness/cables from Vans
-Relocated module from the "vans location" to the rear bulkhead which required a longer harness (supplied by Steinair)
-installed antenna in location prescribed by Vans (used shorter coax to ADSB module supplied by Steinair)
-plugged everything in, installed the supplied fuse from Vans and ran the network detect. Did not find it
-selected the sv-adsb470 module under the ADSB menu. Using serial port 2, checked TX and RX counters. Only TX is counting up. No errors. Nothing on RX. The red light blinks slowly on the module.
AT this point, contacTed another builder who had the same issue when installing his. Recommended bypassing the Vans AV5000 control module and going directly into the skyview harness with the data wires. Vans says that the AV5000 is only a pass thru for the ADSB data to the skyview.
Went from Pin2 on the ADSB harness to Pin5 on the skyview. Went from Pin3 on the ADSB to Pin6 on skyview. When i say "went from" I mean I pulled that wire from the ADSB harness and went directly to the skyview 37 pin harness. So the data wires are going directly from the 470 module to the skyview.
-same result. Only TX active On the port.
Have not checked continuity on the stein supplied harness yet. Seems it's ok since it has power and TX activity.
Going to switch the stein supplied coax to the original vans supplied coax ( could this be the culprit?????? )
Going to call support tomorrow but getting some thoughts before.
Thanks
