Install just finished Have a warning ADSB IN "off line"
I have gone to the ADSB setup page it sees the ADSB and has the correct type identified. This is in Black type
But the rest of the options are all grey, and are unselectable.
Anyone know how I can fix this

Thanks

Verify power, ground, and data connections. "Offline" means the ADSB-472 module is not being "seen" by the Skyview system - it's either not powered up, or it's not communicating.

Or you have not done a SkyView network configuration update so the system knows you added the ADSB-472 to the network.

The 472 is a serial device and does not appear on the network

Tried to do the serial up date. when i go to ADSB status....Device ADSB-472 is in black, next step Status....Not found.
I have it on No2 serial and it seems to be reading something in there

I will check my connections to the skyView tomorrow

Any luck on this? I'm having something like this too. My airplane is still in Phase I so not many hours but I have had traffic. Now, since the latest Skyview update, my ADS-B shows no signal. When I am close to a TIS source, I get TIS OK, but still ADS-B no signal. It shows up in the setup but I can't get it to work, and I don't know what has changed since it did work.

I think Dynon is evasive about information on the autopilot. Why is there not an accurate description about what each programable parameter does?

Is it possible to get the warning ADS-B offline due to either no antenna being hooked up or a broken antenna?

I don't think so. The whole device would need to be not communicating to see that. If you had no/broken antenna, the status would look OK but you wouldn't actually receive traffic/wx updates.

It is technically possible, but not realistically feasible. You'd have to do something akin to constantly measuring the standing wave ratio (SWR), while not interfering with normal operation, which isn't really a simple proposition. There are other ways to constantly verify a good transmission signal, but they all offer similar challenges, and no single solution would offer all you'd really need to see. That would necessitate multiple functions at once. The technology necessary to do something like that would be prohibitively expensive in more than just cost. You've added size, weight, complexity, procurement cost, support costs, and probably some other issues that don't occur to me at the moment. So, while it is possible, it just isn't realistic.

I'm about to install my SMA antennas, and I'd like to buy the correct cable to get signal to the back of the box. I don't see it in the schematics, so....What are the antenna connections on the SV-xpndr-261 (transponder) and ADSB-ADSB-472 (ADSB receiver)? BNC / TNC and male/female? Other? Thanks, PK

Does anyone know if the 472 comes with the DB9 connector and pins? I know it does not come with the harness but curious if it includes the connector and pins and hood? I see the transponder includes the connector and pins, it states this in the install manual. I'm ordering DB's, pins and hoods and wondering if I need one for the 472.

Thanks,
Shawn

Thanks for the reply, I'm making all my own harnesses, I was just wondering if it came with the connector and pins only like the transponder does. I don't want to buy their harness. Again, I'm making all my own network cables and harnesses custom length. My harness will need to be about 18" long, no need to buy a 15' harness.
