I heard some murmurs at Oshkosh that the Trig transponder only days ago received FAA approval for the combo with a Garmin 430W. Also heard that the Trig approval doesn't necessarily transfer to Dynon, i.e. Dynon has to pursue their own approval if the unit has been relabeled as a Dynon. Can you comment? I wasn't aware that my setup of Dynon Transponder with 430W with version 5 software, and Dynon ADS-B, was not a totally compliant arrangement.

The certificated aircraft side of world has some additional rules (like STCs or other letters of authorization), but if you hook up a 430W or GTN with its latest software to our system with our transponder and its software is up to date, and you have everything configured and connected properly, you have a 2020-compliant setup.
