ADSB traffic sporadic

I have a dual SV1000 with Dynon transponder and ADSB in. I flew a  240nm trip out of Atlanta yesterday to eastern TN and a trip back today. On both trips the ADSB traffic did not work more than about 10% of the time. The system would downgrade to TIS traffic which appeared fine. The ADSB weather worked fine all the time. My thoughts are that it was a problem with the data being sent from ATC. How can I trouble shoot this? Is there a site that shows the operational status of the ADSB system? ( I have not been able to locate one )

If you want to know how your ADS-B system is performing, send an email with N-number to: 9-AWA-AFS-300-ADSB-AvionicsCheck@faa.gov and request a detailed report. Include ADS-B equipment & GPS make/model to save a few emails if there are system performance issues.

The email that was posted is interesting to know if your system is 2020 compliant, but will not likely help with this issue.

First, what SkyView SW version and transponder versions are you running? What GPS is feeding your transponder? Have you verified that the ICAO Address in your transponder setup is set correctly?

ADS-B outages are posted in the standard NOTAM system.

The system has been working fine for the last 100+ hours. Version 10 and transponder is version 2.x ( updated about a year ago). The SV gps is feeding the transponder.

It also tells you if the FAA is actually receiving your ADS-B out, compliant or not. If they receive your ADS-B out and they have traffic, then it will be sent. If they are not receiving your ADS-B out then something changed/failed in your system.

More info: Flew the aircraft today and ADSB traffic is working fine. One interesting item on the two flights where it exhibited the problem. The perform battery test message was on. At the end of the second flight I performed the battery test which was successful so the message was not on for the flight I flew today.

The battery test message and ADS-B traffic don't have any interaction or dependencies, so I don't think that's what you were seeing.
