Has anyone used a Garmin aera 660 connected to a D10A for autopilot operation?
We upgraded from a Garmin 190 to a Garmin aera 660 in our 6A with the D10A .The A/P worked perfectly with the 190. Not so much with the 660.
With the 660 when there is a course change it will fly through the the new course than make a hard bank to intercept the course , then flys through the course again, makes another hard bank to re intercept the course again. It’s constant “S” turns !
When a course change is eminent ,we will disengage the A/P and make the course change manually. When established on new course we will reengage the auto pilot.
We are trying to figure out our problem.
If anyone has any suggestions we would surely like to hear them.
