Airport Identifier Font Size on Map - 7" Display

Must be these aging eyes, but I cannot easily make out the airport identifiers on the map on the 7 inch screen. In fact, they are pretty unusable on this smaller display. Makes me wish I had a panel large enough for the 10 inch display. You have chosen what looks like a bold font for the airport identifiers that runs the letters together. Will there be any option for adjusting the map fonts in a future release? Thanks //Dave

Just looked at the new map on Skyview. I think the ADF's need to be put in the background more.They are very seldom used and they show up too much on the map. Perhaps a smaller icon and less noticable.

You can turn off NDB's in the setup menu if you don't want to see them.

This has been answered in the past however it's not likely to happen IMO - the 7" screen is just too small to handle all the info etc, etc. Personally I'd use that screen only for EMS but that's not what you want to hear if real estate is an issue.

Just to know it's been discussed and that I should probably buy the larger display in order to effectively read the map provided by this new navigation feature is not a solution. I, and others in this boat, have made a signifcant investment in this product banking on a usable navigation display. For example, airport indicators on a much smaller Garmin x96 display are legible because of the font chosen for display. Why can't Dynon solve this for their product? I'm looking forward to Dynon's response on this issue. Thanks.

Hi Dave - We're looking into ways to improve the font legibility on SkyView (mostly the 7", as you've found). I don't have a specific timeline that I can offer, but do know that we're working on it.
