Hi there,

I have just installed Jeppesen Nav and Obstacle Data (Pacific) in Skyview Version 4, but the various airspace types in New Zealand do not show up! I do see airports, VOR's and some danger areas though. What could be the problem??

Thanks

Ben

First, check your zoom levels under MAP > MAP MENU > MAP ITEMS. Also make sure you have the "AIRSPACES" option set suitably high (ideally, that options should be called "SHOW AIRSPACES BELOW"), else you might be screening them out.

Zoom levels for Airspaces A-B-C-D-CTA-CTR are all set at 80NM and Airspaces option is set at 20,000ft. Still no Airspaces shown at any zoom level!?

What does it say under SETUP MENU > LOCAL DISPLAY SETUP > INSTALLED DATABASES under aviation databases? And where are you in New Zealand? (any major city will do that you've checked for airspace around but haven't found any where there should be some)

The following is copied from the Skyview screen under "Installed Databases":

-Aviation Databases:
  AVDATA 12/13/12-01/09/13: JEPPESEN PACIFIC
  OBDATA 12/13/12-01/09/13: JEPPESEN PACIFIC

-Terrain Databases:
  REG - 13 - SOUTH PACIFIC HIRES

-Other Databases:
BASE MAP CREATED ON 06/14/12: SOUTH PACIFIC

The aircraft is approx. 8 NM  NE of Hamilton Airport (NZHN) and the overhead controlled airspace starts at 2500ft.

It looks like there's a slight database incompatibility between the new databases (which are updated to work with 5.0, but SHOULD (but don't) display properly in SkyView 4.0). Thanks for letting us know. For now, the most effective way for you to get them back is to update you SkyView Software to to 5.0, which was released today.
