It would be great if you could add the suitable radio frequencies into the pop up in the Map panning mode, like restricted Area, FIR, Military Area…
Because at the moment, we don't have this informations with Skyview and we are obliged to bring them (paper charts or iPad…)
Good thought. I believe we wanted to do this ourselves, but I think the FAA data doesn't easily correlates those bits of information today (it very likely doesn't even have the freqs for those airspaces available). I'll add this feature request to the list to look at in the future. Thanks for the note!
Not to rain on anybody's parade but as a former USAF controller working within those areas I can tell you that most of those military operating areas use UHF frequencies with no equivalent VHF frequency. That information would be completely useless in our airplanes.
We are talking about the "controlling agency" for the airspace, not the frequencies used by the airspace. The frequency you use as a GA pilot to ask if an airspace is active, and are printed on the legend area of a sectional.
This has been one of my pet peeves about most IPad apps. The data from the sectional tab, like the controlling agency hours of operation and other important data is missing. it would be a real winner if you could figure out a way to include this data. If it isn't in the FAA databases it is a real miss on their part.
I was at the Aero Fridriechshafen in Germany and I spoke with the Pocket FMS Team. They have this information (in Europe and for me in France) and they told me that it is easier for you to include it into the Skyview data package.
So, in the next release...
