Airspeed Climb?

If we do this, it will only be in the AP76. We do currently plan on doing it in that product.

I know that TT has a saftey feature where you can configure a minimum airspeed to prevent the aircraft from stalling if you dial in a vs that exceeds the aircraft performance.
Will you have a such feature as well?
If you do, then it shouldn't it be possible to configure a "climb speed" and dial in a vs that is impossible to maintain.
Voil'a airspeed climb!

Yes, the Dynon AP does have min and max airspeed limits that you set in the setup menu. It also has a VS rate that you set in the setup menu which governs the climb or descent rate that the AP holds when changing altitudes (limited by the min and max airspeeds). There are a lot of ways you can use these settings, but it is not very convenient to enter and adjust the setup menu each time you want to use a different climb or descent rate. I can't wait for the AP76.

What Mel is effectively mentioning is that we currently have airspeed limits in the setup menu for all autopilots as a safety measure. Actually adjusting an AS hold in real time is more of an IFR feature, so we will have this feature, but it will be on the AP76.
Is it a software possibility to do it on the AP74? Yes it is, but everything on the AP76 will be that way. We have to charge for advanced features and the R&D they carry just like every other company does.
