Altitude Bug Alert - How to change

Hi,

I have a Dynon SE installation. If I set an altitude on the bug, whether or not I am using the auto pilot I receive an audio warning 500 ft above or below the set altitude. This is more annoying than useful because for my purposes the warning needs to be say 100ft or maybe 200ft either side.

So in the manual it says that this can be adjusted under 3.14 PFD SETUP Menu

“ALTITUDE BUG ALERTER – Enter this page to configure the altitude alerter, an audible alert when you are approaching or departing the altitude set in the ALT bug.
o CAPTURE BAND: When the altitude of the aircraft flies within this range of feet/meters of the altitude bug (when displayed), SkyView will announce “approaching altitude” aurally (if audio output is configured).
o DEVIATION BAND: When the altitude of the aircraft climbs above or descends below the altitude bug by the range of feet or meters set here, SkyView will”

Perfect - except that the option ALTITUDE BUG ALERTER does not appear under the PFD SETUP Menu and I cannot find it anywhere else.

Has anybody else found this? How can I adjust it or alternatively switch it off?

Not sure about the SE but attached are screen shots taken from the HDX PFD>SETUP MENU>ALTITUDE BUG ALERTER menus with instructions for operations on the bottom. It appears the audio warning message can be disabled in the SYSTEM SETUP>AUDIO SETUP>ALTITUDE ALERT menu (last menu picture).

Hi Andre,

Thanks for your help. I have looked in those onscreen locations several times but the words ALTITUDE BUG ALERTER are just not there! I have been back to it to check that I have scrolled down. I have also tried it in flight with the bug set, but it still does not appear.

I will see if I can find ALTITUDE ALERT on the Audio setup page and see if that gives me any more clues.

OK. I have checked again. There is definitely no option of ALTITUDE BUG ALERTER in the pdf setup.

In the system setup/audio setup there is ALTITUDE ALERT but this only switches it on or off.

Can anyone from Dynon tell me how to do it as it clearly shows it as an option in the operators manual and installation manual?
