In Canada my avionic shop will not certify the transponder/altimeter/encoder test because we have the Dynon encoder and it is not a certified instrument.
I see Dynon has a compliance statement for the FAA, does anyone have anything like that for TC? or any other work-around?

My AME did a xponder and pitot/static check no problem. Kind of defeats the purpose of the homebuilt otherwise. Check with the other homebults in your area to see where they get theirs done.

Ask your avionics shop to perform the tests according to the CARS and provide you the results. You then sign the logbook using this information. That is the correct and legal procedure.

They are not signing your logbook, only providing you and interpreting the test results.
