I am installing a D120 in my unfinished RV6 & am ready to wire the EMS once and for all.

I am incorporating 1 amp fuses in the ammeter wiring as recommended by the Installation Guide and wish to know if I can add approx 36 inches of wire in each of the ammeter wires (Hi amps & low amps), without having any adverse affects on the amperage reading.

By doing this I can locate the fuses at an easily accesible location.

Thanks for any responses

The whole point of the fuses is to protect the wire, and it can only protect wire after the fuse. So it's all up to you where you put the fuse. The system doesn't care how long the wires are or where the fuses are (or even if there are no fuses). It's all up to your comfort level for unprotected wires.
