Amps and shunt

Hello all, I have a new D1000 installed in a new Sonex and am having a problem with the amp gauge. The gauge reads -100 or a red X. I reversed the wires on the shunt and the same. I removed the wires and the same. I next connected the 24/25 wires together and the same. I tested the wires from the ring terminal to the D37 plug numerous times and always got continuity. I have pulled and pushed on the wires and plug. I used the 26g wire setup for overload protection. The gauge reads mainly X and will go to -100 some. Less as the panel warms up. I have the shunt in the C position I think, between the battery and the bus. Add to this problem with the fact that my DAR is demanding me to have working amp gauge in addition to my voltage readout.
Any help or ideas are much appreciated.

Did you check the fuses / fuseable links that the manual specifies to be installed inline with the input wires to the SV-EMS-220?

If it's not that, sounds like the SV-EMS-220 received a surge and that killed the AMPS Shunt input. Contact Dynon Avionics Tech Support on Monday for a Return Material Authorization (RMA) - 425-402-0433.
