Hi,
Please do forgive my ignorance if this has been explained before and without getting into the pros and cons of legal compliance and its issues...
The Dynon transponder has, as I understand it, an extended squitter so does this mean that mean that when installed with the SV-250 GPS in a Skyview system it is automatically transmiting ADSB out?

Thanks,

Alan

The ADSB out source is selected when doing the configuration. The SV-250 is an option, as is whatever GPS serial feed you wired to the transponder. Page 11-12 of the Installation Manual covers this.

In SkyView, ADS-B OUT is accomplished using the SV-XPNDR-261's Extended Squitter, with the SV-GPS-250 as a GPS position source.

As of 2020, using the (non-certified) SkyView SV-GPS-250 as a source of GPS data won't be legal for ADS-B OUT - there must be a certified GPS position source connected directly to the SV-XPNDR-261.
