Another possible V16 issue

I have started seeing a new issue since I upgraded to version v16. This is related to Skyview WiFi connection to Foreflight. But since Foreflight has also updated their version I am not sure who is to blame.

I have a 10" Skyview Touch, with ADSB-472, and Avidyne IFD-540.
The Avidyne IFD-540's WiFi is configured as a remote device to the Skyview network. When I connect to Skyview network with Foreflight, select MORE, then Devices, I see 3 devices, SKYVIEW, ADSB, and AVIDYNE IFD. But now when I try to get a flight plan from the IFD is says "No Route Available". Even though I have an active route programed. If I try to push a flight plan to the IFD it says "Device Error #6".

I am not sure exactly when this started other than I first discovered it a few weeks ago. Unfortunately, both Skyview and Foreflight have had software updates. I also posted this question to Forflight support.

Thanks for any information regarding this.

I did some more troubleshooting and found the problem is worse than expected.

I am unable to push or get any flight plan to the Skyview network even when it is the only device.

The Skyview network will no longer send or receive a flight plan.
Do not know if this is a Skyview problem or a Foreflight problem. Both had software updates over the past month....

Anybody else have this problem?

Thanks,

Kurt

First flight since upgrading to V16 and I do not have the ability to connect to Foreflight.

Normally I push the the SEND TO icon and the PANEL icon is displayed and I push TO PANEL and I hear bling bling and I am happy.

I am not happy anymore...the TO PANEL is no longer displayed .

Yes I read the Skyview manual and MAP MENU>FLIGHT PLAN OPTIONS > OVER WIFI> YES is selected

Yes the iPad SETTINGS> WIFI network shows SKYVIEW connected. I disconnected and then reconnected the WIFI and no joy.

I powered off the iPad and started it up again and still no joy.

In ForeFlight I went to MORE DEVICES and all that is showing up is "ADS-B" but not an option for Skyveiw however I push the "i" at the top right of the screen and SSID Skyview and the IP ADDRESSES 10.191.1.1 and 127.0.0.1 LOOPBACK shows up.

And just like Kurt I had upgraded both the Skyview and ForeFlight so I do not know who is making me unhappy (nice flight though but ALL my toys are not working so...

Does anyone else have this concern?

THANKS for the help!!!

I think I have figured out my issue.
I deleted AVG VPN app from my IPad. Even though I turned off VPN, the app it would turn itself back on. But since I deleted the app I have been able to send / receive flight plans. I will continue to test to make sure it is fixed.
Not sure why it would receive traffic, weather, and GPS position all ok, but not a flight plan???

just started having the same issue with my ForeFlight to D700 panel flight plan transfer. I get the following error

84CB4DFD-0761-41E4-BE67-9F761B179CF6.jpeg

I get the same error trying to transfer a ForeFlight flt plan via WiFi to my Dynon D700 panel. And yes the settings are correct and my iPad is connect to the panel’s WiFi. worked fine for a # of years, then starting just after upgrading to the latest Dynon software version.

A 4 month later update - after a major iOS update & two Dynon SW updates: Still cannot send my ForeFlight flight plan over the Dynon wifi connection, though the in-flight Dynon ADS-B WX and traffic feeds to ForeFlight work just fine. (see below)

My issue was the VPN application installed on the tablet. I removed AVG VPN and it fixed this problem.

Fixed after contacting ForeFlight Support who replied
If you have iOS 14 or later installed, it is necessary to enable Local Network access in your iPad or iPhone's Settings app. If this setting is disabled, ForeFlight will not be able to see your WiFi-connected device.

Please open the Apple Settings app from your home screen and tap ForeFlight from the list of apps on the left. Then turn the switch ON next to Local Network. See the article below for further information.
