Hi all, first post here. Finishing up a Van's RV-9A with a Skyview SV-D1000 and several other Dynon products on the Skyview network.
Yesterday I finally powered the system up and set about getting things configured, referring to the Getting Started section of the installation guide. After entering the Configure page, I pressed the UPDATE button, which worked successfully. Except that under the line for the display itself, the message SKYVIEW NETWORK CONNECTION FAULT - DATA 2 PAIR (PINS 4 & 8) appeared. Section 21 of the installation guide has some suggestions on how to troubleshoot this; implied in that section is that the problem is likely near the display itself since that's where the message appeared.
To verify everything, I started by ringing out all the network cables (a mix of cables purchased from Dynon and some I made myself). All checked out.
With nothing connected to the db-9 connectors on the back of the unit, the message went away and all the previously discovered devices on the network appeared in red. Plug things back in, everything appeared normal but the message returned.
I have a SV-NET-TEST cable, so next I tried disconnecting everything and only using that cable to connect to various devices. In each case, the message reappeared. This leads me to believe that the fault is in the display itself- it doesn't matter what device is connected, or which cable is used.
I took a couple of photos with my phone camera, attached. One shows the situation where everything is connected as it was when I first encountered the message; the other shows the situation where only the EMS is connected to the display, using the SV-NET-TEST cable.
Thanks for any insight!
