AoA alarm problem

I just updated my D100, D120 and HS34 yesterday to release 5.0 and today decided to check out the new stall voice warning function. There appears to be a problem now with the upgrade as neither the voice or the tone alert occurs until about a second after the stall break (top of the red chevrons). Previously the tone occurred where I set it at the beginning of the yellow band and I could hear it start when I landed my RV-7 in a three point attitude (sounded more like a clicking tone than a continuous tone).

I tried selecting different positions and tone or voice all with the same effect, the test function worked fine. I also tries EXT vs EFIS alarms with no change, there would be nothing until the stall actually occurred and then I would get a tone or STALL annunciation.
I tried power on, power off, flap and no flap configurations.
Any ideas, is this a setup problem where I have missed a step (I followed the setup in the release notes)
Thanks
Dave

I should also add that I also tried recalibrating the AoA and had no change in the alarm behavior

Is everything else about the AOA indicator working? I.e., is the triangle at the top of the indicator flashing during the stall?

Could you email backups for the 3 units to support@dynonavionics.com ?
We'd like to take a look to see what's going on.

Top of triangle was flashing and the chevron indicator seemed to be working fine (green to yellow to red then stall)
I will get backups tomorrow and email them to you

Tried a couple more tests yesterday, went to HSI setup and selected the various AoA alarm choices in turn:
EXT Voice..test function worked "STALL", annunciation occurred after the stall break after the top flashing red chevron
EXT Tone ..same result as above
EFIS Tone ..no tone from the test function no tone from the AoA or stall

All annunciations are connected to my intercom via the HS34 audio output and all other warning such as "CHT High" etc are working fine.
As I said before the AoA Tone worked fine under 4.2.
Hope this helps as I like the aural warning as a backup when things get busy in the pattern.

Your most recent test makes sense, at least where you're hearing audio, if you have your audio out connected from your HS34 only. That's a valid configuration of course.

We tested your backups here and did not find anything out of the ordinary - ie, we weren't able to reproduce the delay that you are experiencing. So we're not quite sure what to make of what you're seeing.

I think you already played with this setting, but Under the AOAALM menu, when do you have the alarm set to go on?. Related, as another test, try setting the alarm to come on at the bottom of the yellow, and then fly around in the mid yellow (slow flight basically). Do the red chevrons flash? And do you get the stall warning while that's happening?
