AOA calibration

Followed the on screen instructions to calibrate the AOA. Tried to get several “stall” markers in different flap settings. Clean, quarter, half,3/4and full flaps.
After each stall, I hit the stall button followed by the save button presented on the screen.
I was thinking that I could do this series and it would save all the stalls in the series.
I found that I could only save one, it wasn’t cumulative. If that is the case then I think I should just save the clean stall, since it provide the most safety margin.
Other than that, I’m very pleased with the results. I now have an indicator on the screen that shows how close I’m getting to a stall and an aural beep in the headset.
I was hoping that it would also show best L/D, but I don’t think that is sophisticated to do that.

Here is a previous thread discussing stalls and Dynon's AOA indicator/system:

It doesn't save different stalls, and doesn't care what configuration your aircraft is in. It measures the pressure differential when your aircraft enters a stall. It makes no difference what speed you're going or what configuration your aircraft is in. That pressure differential approaching a stall is essentially the same in all those circumstances. That's why that's the only thing it saves.

I think the AOA calibration procedure specifiers to press STALL for each of the stall cycles and then only press SAFE after all the stalls in the different configurations have been completed

It only saves one stall, and it chooses to save the deepest stall in the calibration procedure.

One thing that has struck me about the way the system works is that you want to record the data for the deepest stall. I recalibrated mine for a power off flap down stall but found that as soon as I started to slow down on base leg the AOA would start sounding and became distracting. I think that calibrating with full flap and power on would give the highest pitch attitude and the AOA warning would come on a lot later giving a more useful warning.
